Fresh from his coronation, the newly crowned king has been spotted driving himself to church in Norfolk.

The monarch got behind the wheel in order to visit St Mary Magdalene Church on Sunday (May 14).

Driving a silver Audi, he gave a cheery wave to onlookers as he arrived while wearing a smart grey suit.

Dozens of people lined the streets eager to catch a glimpse of the king and his passing motorcade.

Queen Camilla did not attend the church service.

Afterwards, he was seen in the same royal car but was driven back by a close protection officer.

Following the pageantry of the historic coronation, he has since spent time at the Norfolk royal estate of Sandringham.

It is one of the first times he has seen in public since he was anointed as the nation's sovereign on May 6. 

Other members of the royal family have been busy after returning to official engagements on Tuesday.

The Prince of Wales visited Wembley on Sunday to watch the Women's FA Cup Final.
