From a former glass-blowing factory to a restored 18th-century watermill, four unique Norfolk hotels have been named among the Sunday Times' best places to stay in 2023.
Only 100 places in Britain made the list and in Norfolk this was spa hotel Congham Hall, near King's Lynn, Sculthorpe Mill, near Fakenham boasting views of the River Wensum, The Harper in north Norfolk, a 32-room boutique resort previously home to Langham Glass, and The Globe Inn gastropub with rooms in Wells-next-the-Sea.
The Angel Inn in Stoke-By-Nayland, across the border in Suffolk, was named the best place to stay in the East of England.
Claire Irvin, head of travel at The Times and The Sunday Times, said: "Best Places to Stay 2023 is a celebration of the incredible properties we have here on home soil and, most importantly, the hard-working teams that have made each one of them such a singular success."
The 100 places that made the coveted list were decided by a team of travel reviewers.
