Mikie Webber-Kane will be aiming to make it eight wins in a row when he makes a quick return to York Hall on Friday night.
The 24-year-old is keeping busy - this is his third visit to the home of British boxing in less than six months, and he has another trip to Bethnal Green booked in for June.
So far, so good for Webber-Kane, who trains under the wing of Yarmouth’s Tony Norman and Norwich’s Graham Everett.
“I've got an amazing team around me,” said Webber-Kane, who faces Stockport's Sam Melville. “I've said this multiple times before and I'll always say it: my job as a fighter is to train hard, listen to my team and make weight, and then I put on the show when I'm in the ring. Outside of the ring, my match-ups, the shows that I go on, they are none of my business.
“I'm happy to fight whoever Graham think and tells me to. Tony tells me too if they think it's a good fight for me and it benefits my career.
“It's a sport where you can get seriously hurt and you need to be able to trust the team around you – and I do.”
Webber Kane has managed to carry on in a sport which lost a lot of fighters during and after the global pandemic.
“I was very fortunate because after Covid, things started opening up again and I got really busy,” he said. “Ryan Walsh said it to me in the gym one day, ‘you don’t know how lucky you are’, because he was itching to get a fight.
“And being busy I feel has helped me develop as a fighter. I'm very appreciative to be on these shows.”
Everett is happy with Webber Kane’s development.
“He's busy – and he’s booked out again in June at York Hall,” he said. “With Mikie it is trying to get as many fights, the right fights and the experience needed to push him towards a Southern Area title fight.
“Tony Norman has done a good job with him, and obviously he's over here in Norwich a couple of times a week, and we are happy with his development.”
The fight is available to watch live on @FiteTV.
