A great-grandfather who nearly fell over after winning big only wishes he could share the lottery jackpot with his late wife.
Frank Bithell, 77, from Holt, almost fell over after opening an envelope with a cheque informing him that he had hit the Nightingale House Hospice Lottery jackpot.
The semi-retired bricklayer said: “I don’t know what I will spend the money on yet but I have got 21 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so I am sure it will be put to good use."

But Frank admitted that spending his impressive £2,500 win will not be the same without his wife Maria who passed away in 2021 right before their 50th wedding anniversary.
"It is just a shame she is not here with me to enjoy it, we would have had a holiday maybe," he said. "Maria played the lottery for years as she wanted to support the hospice.”
Amanda Kinsey, lottery promotions manager, added: “We would like to thank Frank for his support with our lottery which raises a vital amount each year to fund the services for patients and their families.
“We hope Frank and his family enjoy their big win.”
