Two shops in Norfolk are to be refurbished as part of a £5m project.
The Co-op stores in Hall Road, Norwich, and The Green, Martham, will close for the revamps as part of a wider investment by the retailer.
Solar panels are to be put on the roof of the shop in Norwich with eco-friendly fridge units installed in both.
The store in Martham is closed from 10pm today until November 21 for the work with the Norwich shop closed from 10pm on November 16 until November 26.

Chief operating officer at the East of England Co-op, Andy Rigby, said: “We’re excited to announce these stores are to be part of our ongoing refurbishment programme and we’re excited to introduce services that will greatly enhance the experience for our members and customers.
"The improvements will make shopping easier and more enjoyable, while also reflecting our commitment to being environmentally conscious.”
The plans are part of a wider refurbishment involving a total of 12 stores across the East of England which started back in August 2024.
