A Norwich man has appeared in court accused of driving off in a stolen Mercedes car after a burglary spree.
Stephen Grey, 39, of Lound Road in West Earlham, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of entering as a trespasser following break-ins on April 3 and 4 this year.

A second burglary on nearby Spencer Road saw thefts of items including bank cards, licence documents and a money box.
Grey is also accused of taking a vehicle without consent, having no insurance and fraud over the use of stolen bank cards.
Appearing via video link from prison he did not enter formal pleas to the charges but his defence solicitor Andrew Spence said he was likely to plead not guilty.
His case was committed to be heard at Norwich Crown Court with a preliminary hearing on November 8.
