From roadworks on the A11 in Norwich to a new festival at Earlham Park, here are five public notices to be aware of in Norfolk this week. 

1) Ringstead Road closure

The maintenance will help fix an issue with flooding during heavy rainfall and is expected to take five days to complete.

It will cost £15,000 and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.

2) Death notice

Maria Luisa Delfina Allegri, who lived at Woodside House Care Home in Norwich, died on November 3 2023.

Under the Trustee Act 1925, any persons having a claim against or an interest in the estate are required to send written inquiries to The Beyond Group East Anglia Limited,72 St Augustines Street, Norwich.

All letters must be submitted by December 5.

3) Plans for St George's Guildhall expansion approved

Now members at a recent West Norfolk Council planning committee meeting have voted to approve the scheme.

It is hoped the expansion - which includes creating a new cafe-bar area, workshop and exhibition space and an update of the Riverside Restaurant - will secure the future of the complex.

4) A11 closure

Minor drainage works, line painting and the installation of new paving are to take place on the A11 Newmarket Road in Norwich later this month.

The work, due to start on October 21, will be carried out by the Christchurch Road and Lime Tree Road junctions.

Some lane closures will be in place in Newmarket Road, with temporary traffic lights when needed, and Christchurch Road and Lime Tree Road may close during the works.

Norfolk County Council says the project is expected to last five days and is set to finish on October 25.

5) Norwich Cider and Music Festival

James Dean Events Group LTD wishes to hold the Norwich Cider and Music Festival on June 13 and June 14 2025.

The application states that alcohol would be sold from midday to 10.30pm on both days and live music played until 11pm.

Members of the public have until October 31 to comment on the application.
