A Norfolk pub will feature in an upcoming episode of a popular BBC show featuring Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse.
The comedians will visit The Brisley Bell in the first episode of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing as it appears on screens for a seventh season.
The pair stayed at the pub, near Dereham, for about a week as they filmed in the area for the show, which includes a visit to Rocklands Mere where they fish for tench.
Set in almost two acres of grounds, The Brisley Bell has six en-suite boutique rooms on offer and serves up award-winning food.
The dog-friendly pub was recently named in The Good Food Guide's 30 "best restaurants for your first alfresco meal of the year" and in 2023, Estrella-Damm listed it as one of the country's top 100 gastropubs.
Amelia Nicholson, co-owner of The Brisley Bell said: "It was a real pleasure to have the cast and crew stay here.
"Everyone was so lovely and they're welcome back anytime."
The new series will see the comedians explore more of Britain’s lakes, rivers and canals, along with their trademark blend of laughs and heartfelt discussion.
This time around, the show is set to be even more personal with each location chosen due to a connection to Mortimer or Whitehouse’s life.
“I’m looking forward to visiting old haunts from my younger years as Paul and I will be travelling back in time for this series, going to fish in places which shaped our lives,” said Mortimer.
“I can’t wait to get back to Gone Fishing with that other bloke in tow,” said Whitehouse.
The episode will air on BBC Two at 9pm on Sunday.
