Norfolk's efforts to combat substance misuse have gained national recognition.
The Local Government Association's (LGA) report, 'From Harm to Hope: A 10-year drugs plan to cut crime and save lives', commends the county's initiatives.
The report highlights the Norfolk Drug and Alcohol Partnership's (NDAP) work in reducing drug and alcohol-related deaths, and supporting those grappling with addiction.
It also acknowledges the collaboration between various bodies in Norfolk to tackle the damage caused by new synthetic opioids, and the police's efforts to dismantle supply chains.
Bill Borrett, chairman of the Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Board, said: “I am proud to see that Norfolk has been singled out in the LGA’s report.
