A Norfolk company has renewed a contract with an international charity.

Structure-flex, a thermoplastic manufacturing specialist based in Melton Constable, has extended its three-year partnership with the Oxfam Supply Centre.

The agreement involves providing crucial equipment to aid the transport and storage of clean water in deprived areas, especially during humanitarian crises.

Structure-flex produces a range of products from flexible plastic-coated fabric, including various styles of tank bags.

These are used to store fresh drinking water in disaster-stricken areas.

Paul Reeve, managing director at Structure-flex, said: "Our water storage tanks play a crucial role in providing fresh water to deprived areas and this extended contract reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions for communities in need."

The company produces a broad range of capacities, with water storage pillow tanks typically ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 litres.

These require a dedicated goods vehicle for transportation.

Smaller tanks are also available, ideal for reaching more remote and inaccessible regions.

Mr Reeve added: "Working with Oxfam's field engineers, we developed these smaller water tanks using the latest thermoplastic textiles.

"Our innovation has ensured that water has reached even the most remote communities in need over recent years."

Established in 1970, Structure-flex has the largest high-frequency welding and printing facilities for flexible thermoplastics in the UK.
