Further evidence is needed before an inquest into the death of a serving police officer can go ahead.
PC Richard Dennis was suspended from duty at the time of his death and under investigation following allegations of criminal conduct.
He died at his house in Ingoldisthorpe, based between King's Lynn and Hunstanton, on June 30 last year.
The 42-year-old was one of two serving officers who died in apparent suicides within two weeks of each other while they were being investigated by Norfolk Constabulary.
A brief hearing at Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard that the senior coroner, Jacqueline Lake, was awaiting further evidence.
She adjourned the inquest for another review in December.

Two weeks after the death of Mr Dennis, a second police officer, 35-year-old Martin Scott, was found dead in a house in Wymondham.
Police said he was being investigated in relation to misconduct allegations off duty and was on restricted duties but was not suspended from duty.
The force referred the cases to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
