Emergency repair works are being carried out to fix a gas leak in Wymondham.

Damgate Street will remain closed for essential utility and maintenance works until August 6.

Cadent Gas has been carrying out the works after a leak was reported on Tuesday.

The road closure from Main Street to the Chain Entry pathway will be enforced throughout the works.

A signed diversion route will be in place via Friarscroft Lane and emergency access will be maintained.

The 14/14A First Bus service through Wymondham will be rerouted on an emergency diversion due to three closures in the town.

The bus line will follow the route above until further notice.

The route towards Wymondham and Silfield is highlighted in red and the route towards Norwich in blue.

A spokesman from First Bus said: "We apologise for the disruption caused by these works."
