A Norfolk-based fashion brand is closing its pop-up shop inside a city department store. 

Blakely Clothing has announced its pop-up shop inside Jarrolds in Norwich will close on Sunday (August 4) after a "successful" five weeks. 

The shop opened in the London Street department store early last month after the lifestyle fashion brand was unveiled as Norwich City's new shirt sponsor, replacing Lotus. 

Blakely was created by Gareth Newman in 2012, which he ran from a garden shed at his childhood home in Briston, near Holt.

It has since grown into an international brand, recording £37m in sales in the last 12 months.

The firm is headquartered at a warehouse in Melton Constable and has its main office in Norwich. 

A Blakely spokesman said: "We’re still very much committed to having a flagship presence in Norwich and are currently still searching for the ideal place for more permanent residence."

Blakely in hosting its first-ever APEX Games fitness event at the Norfolk Showground on September 7, where there will be a sample sale with discounts of up to 80pc.
