A key site along the north Norfolk coast could benefit from a new visitor centre if plans are approved.
The National Trust has submitted plans to construct the new premises at Morston Quay.
It is hoped the new facilities will improve accessibility through new toilets and also an improved space for staff to carry out their duties.
Currently, there is only a temporary building at the site, which is a popular location for people wanting to go seal spotting from nearby Blakeney or go for walks to explore the coastal salt marshes which are an important habitat for wildlife, particularly birds.

Improved paths to the lookout tower have also been proposed as part of the revamp of the premises.
The National Trust will be hoping for better luck with this application, having previously had an attempt to get permission to host a food truck at the beauty spot rejected by North Norfolk District Council.
This was due to members deciding there was already a thriving café nearby.
The application will be decided at a later date.
