Thousands of people are set to descend on the King’s Norfolk estate for a day of floral festivities.  

Photos have given a first look at the 2024 Sandringham Flower Show as the site is transformed into "Britain's biggest church fete". 

More than 20,000 visitors will flock to the royal home near King's Lynn for Wednesday's event.

The day will see gardeners from across the region battling it out across several categories including the EDP Best in Show Trophy and the highly acclaimed people's choice poll.  

Along with the main competitions, people will put their home-grown produce up for judgment in various other contests.

Food and drink also feature highly on the day with local producers showcasing all kinds of treats. 

King Charles and Queen Camilla are not expected to be joining the crowds due to existing diary commitments and it is unknown if other royals will be in attendance.

The show takes place from 9am until 6pm and tickets are priced at £21 on the day, with under-16s free. 

Admission includes entrance to Sandringham Gardens and Sandringham Church, which both border the showground.
