A person remains in hospital after three people were hit by a car in Attleborough.

Officers were called to the scene of the crash in Norwich Road at around 3.45pm on Saturday. 

A silver Jaguar was travelling towards the town centre when it mounted the pavement and hit three pedestrians.

Two ambulances and two ambulance officer vehicles were sent to the scene.

The road was closed while paramedics were providing care and treatment to the injured.

A man and woman in their 40s and a man in his 70s suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Two people have been released and a third person remains at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

At the time of the incident, officers said the crash was being treated as an "unintentional collision".

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
