A major search is continuing today for a teenage boy who went missing while canoeing.

The teen went missing while on the water in St Germans in King's Lynn on Sunday afternoon.

He set off in a canoe in Sluice Road at 3.50pm and police were notified shortly after.

Emergency services including police, fire, coastguard and Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue are involved in the search.

Two ambulances, four Hazardous Area Response Team Vehicles, three ambulance officer vehicles and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were also sent to the scene on Sunday.

They remained in the area until 9pm the same day.

Police and fire crews are still at the scene today.

Officers have cordoned off the area while the search continues.

Rescue boats have been spotted scanning the waters and river banks.
