Fire crews battled blazes in two cars at a town's leisure centre car park.

Emergency services were called to Waterlane in Lowestoft at around 12.28pm today.

Pictures show the flames roaring from two cars in the car as smoke filled the area.

Firefighters from  Wrentham and Lowestoft South Fire Station attended the scene and battled the fire.

They were able to put out the fire and make the area safe by around 2.45pm.

The burnt remains of the cars were then left at the car park while firefighters waited for police and recovery to attend the scene.

The two cars are believed to be a BMW 1 series and an older Mercedes.
