The Yarmouth Road roundabout with Northside and St Andrews Park in Thorpe St Andrew will be blocked for three nights from August 5 to August 8.

The closure for resurfacing works will be in place between 7pm and 6am and a diversion route will be signposted.

Due to the nature of the works and machinery involved, Norfolk County Council is warning there may be short delays at times.

Plans for 19 new houses in Newton St Faith, a village near Norwich, have been submitted to Broadland District Council.

Under the plans, homes will be built on the land behind existing properties along Manor Road and Newton Street, with a driveway built to the development from Manor Road.

A large public open space will be designed for both the front and the rear of the cul-de-sac.

Broadland District Council will aim to decide on the plans by the end of September.

3. 18-bed care home

Plans to build a modern 18-bed care home on disused land next to Mousehold Lane in Norwich have been given the go-ahead.

HBV Group, a developer of new-build supported living accommodation, is behind the plans to build a 12-bed apartment block and six bungalows.

The unit will be built behind the recently completed Mousehold View Care Home and away from the noise of the city's inner ring road.

Under the permission granted by Norwich City Council, the developers have three years to start work.

A Norfolk County Council planning application has been submitted for a new bus-only lane in Queens Road in Norwich.

The lane would enable buses to turn left into the Bus Station and would be in operation at all times.

A copy of the plan can be viewed online or at the County Hall and appeals can be made to the High Court by August 26.

It follows changes to the waiting and loading times by the Queens Road multi-storey car park, the removal of a cobbled island and the relocation of a taxi bay from Queens Road to Bull Lane.
