Auction House East Anglia held its fifth auction of the year on Wednesday, July 24.
“We sold 54 lots raising just under £10 million and have already done a number of post auction deals,” said Robert Hurst, auction surveyor.
“One of the highlights was the sale of a windmill at Langley Marshes in Haddiscoe, on instruction of receivers, for £265,000.
“The highest price lot sold was a Grade II listed thatched farmhouse on Ingham Road in Brumstead, which sold for £650,000.
“The lowest price lot was a let ground-floor flat producing £595 pcm (£7,140 pa) on St Peter’s Road in Great Yarmouth, which sold for £50,000.”
A mixture of lots including residential, commercial and land went under the hammer and some of the sales include:
- On instruction of a housing association, a three-bedroom terrace house needing modernisation on Entrance Lane in Brooke sold for £167,000.
- A one-bedroom end-terrace bungalow requiring refurbishment on West End in Saxlingham Thorpe sold for £116,000.
- On behalf of mortgagees, a two-bedroom second-floor flat at Dukes Palace Wharf in Norwich sold for £141,000.
- A three-bedroom mid-terrace house requiring modernisation on Glenmore Gardens in Norwich sold for £181,000.
- On behalf of an institutional client, an office building on Waldegrave in Bowthorpe sold for £202,000.
- A two-bedroom ground-floor flat on Nelson Street in King’s Lynn sold for £80,000.
- A one-bedroom flat on Princes Street in Ipswich sold for £62,500.
- A two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow on Rothbury Road in Wymondham sold for £195,000.
- A two-bedroom semi-detached house requiring modernisation on Northfield Gardens in Wymondham sold for £163,000.
- A parcel of land extending to around 0.17 of an acre on Low Common in Ashill sold for £60,000.
- A detached bungalow of non-standard construction on the Coast Road in Walcott sold for £186,500.
- 2.84 acres of land with stables on Welbeck Road in Bergh Apton sold for £132,000.
- A three-bedroom detached bungalow on Romany Walk in Poringland sold for £248,000.
- A three-bedroom semi-detached house on Burnham Road in North Creake sold for £172,000.
- A three-bedroom detached bungalow requiring modernisation on The Uplands in Beccles sold for £202,000.
- On instruction of an executor, a two-bedroom detached bungalow of non-standard construction on The Drift in Fakenham sold for £202,000.
- A three-bedroom semi-detached house on Beck Row in Bury St Edmunds sold for £160,000.
- A retail unit with planning permission to convert into four flats on Norwich Road in Wisbech sold for £60,000.
- A three-bedroom semi-detached house on Rowan Close in Wisbech sold for £117,000.
- On instruction of a power of attorney, a two-bedroom Grade II listed mid-terrace cottage on Diss Road in Scole sold for £118,000.
- 1.1 acres of land off Bury Road in Hepworth sold for £62,000.
- A two-bedroom mid-terrace house in need of modernisation on Downham Road in Runcton Holme sold for £99,000.
- A three-bedroom detached house on Squire’s Drove in Three Holes sold for £200,000.
- A detached bungalow on Cross Lane Close in Lakenheath sold for £192,000.
- A three-bedroom attached barn conversion on Cranwich Road in Cranwich sold for £127,000.
- A two-bedroom ground-floor flat on Baddow Road in Chelmsford sold for £170,000.
- A three-bedroom detached bungalow on Thorpe Close in Hockley sold for £525,000.
- On instruction of an executor, just over half an acre of grazing land at Glebe Corner in Mautby sold for £35,000.
- A let two-bedroom terrace house producing £4,420 pa on Nettle Hill West in Great Yarmouth sold for £52,000.
- A four-bedroom detached house on Akethorpe Way in Lowestoft sold for £255,000.
- An office building on Whiffler Road in Norwich sold for £225,000.
