Several road closures are set to cause major disruption for commuters on various bus routes in the city.

First Bus has announced that many of its Norwich bus services will be affected by roadworks over the next month.

Here are all the disruptions and diversions you need to be aware of.

1. Bluebell Road (25/26)

The 25 and 26 line will not serve Bluebell Road from 7pm onwards between July 22 and August 23.

This is due to footway reconstruction work in Bluebell Road between Fiveways and The Avenues.

Evening services will operate the daytime route directly into University Drive and terminate there.

2. Bowthorpe Road (21)

Evening and certain morning 21 bus journeys will need to divert due to overnight resurfacing works on the Bowthorpe Road and Guardian Road junction.

All stops along Bowthorpe Road will not be served from 7pm onwards from July 22 to July 27.

3. Post Office Road (16)

Due to fibre works in Post Office Road in Lingwood, the road will be closed from July 22 to July 26.

First Bus has negotiated access through the closure on the eastern side of Post Office Road to operate its normal diversion route.

Services will operate on the normal route to the stop and then turn around, heading back to Norwich along Station Road.

4. South Park Avenue (25/31)

Due to UK Power Networks work in South Park Avenue by the junction with Colman Road, the 25 and early morning 31 services will take a diversion route from July 22 to July 26.

Services in both directions will operate via Colman Road and The Avenues and not serve Bluebell Road or South Park Avenue.

The Pink Line 10 service will operate on its normal route to provide a service for Eaton and South Park Avenue through the closure.

5. Yarmouth Road (7/31/33A)

From 7.30am on July 24 to July 26, Yarmouth Road will be closed between Harvey Lane and Thunder Lane for Anglian Water works.

All Green Line services and the 7 and 33A in both directions will divert via Harvey Lane, Heartsease Roundabout and the ring road to pick up normal routes at the Sainsbury's store in Pound Lane.

6. Trowse (40A)

Due to a sports day in White Horse Lane in Trowse, service 40A will take a diversion route between 9.30am and 6pm on July 27.

The bus will not serve Trowse during the closure and will instead operate via the B1332 and Arminghall Lane to join the normal route.

7. Sprowston, Blue Boar Tesco (11A)

The previously delayed resurfacing works at the Blue Boar Tesco stop have now been scheduled for July 28 from 4pm.

During this time, services will remain on the main road and no temporary stop within the Tesco grounds will be provided.
