Video footage shows a well-developed fire ripping through the field, producing large plumes of smoke.
Two horses can be seen in the forefront, clearly disturbed at the situation enfolding behind them.
Amy Coldham was leaving her house when she heard crackling noises outside.
"I looked up and there was a small amount of flames and smoke coming from the dry crop field.
"I instantly rang 999 and requested the fire brigade.
"As I waited for them to arrive, the flames were getting aggressive and the wind was spreading them across the fields.
"The farmers of Topcroft worked together to keep this under control with the fire brigade and was all under control pretty quickly."
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Fire Service confirmed that the incident was successfully resolved by 2pm.
