Construction has begun on Station View, a new development of 35 affordable houses located close to the railway line in Diss.
Property developer Flagship Homes is spearheading the project, which will include 21 homes earmarked for affordable rental and the remainder for shared ownership.
Each property will have an air-source heat pump and an electric vehicle charging point.
Some homes will also benefit from a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system, for effective heat retention and air filtration.
Tony Tann, managing director, said: “I’m very happy to be under way here in Diss, and I’m excited to see these high-quality homes come together to offer a community for people to live and love, and also extremely grateful for the support from Homes England."
The site in Diss is next to the Norwich-London rail line.
Kyle Crush, construction manager at Marfleet & Blyth, the project's main contractor said: “We’re really thrilled to see Station View coming to life, and it’s something we know will have a real impact within the local neighbourhood."
