A 'high risk' registered sex offender was found to be using devices to communicate with young girls online.

Travis Fairhead, 21, was made subject of a sexual harm prevention order in 2022 after being convicted of making indecent photos of six schoolgirls and persuading two others to send him naked pictures.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told a police inspection at his home address on July 10 had discovered Snapchat being used in breach of the order.

Sally Harris, prosecuting, said an examination of a phone had found communications and images including of school uniforms and that an encryption app to mask his activities had also been downloaded.

Fairhead, of Guildhall Road in Worlingham, near Beccles, admitted two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.

He also pleaded guilty on an un-agreed basis to failing to register electronic devices as required.

Magistrates committed him to be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on August 7.
He was granted bail on conditions including that he wear a GPS tag.

Fairhead, who has ADHD, was only 17 at the time of some of the original offences which included inciting a nine-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity.
