A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a rural Norfolk village.
The woman, in her 40s, suffered serious injuries and was found with knife wounds in Mill Lane in Hardwick, near Long Stratton, on Saturday morning.
She was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where she remains in stable condition.
Police are investigating the stabbing and believe the attacker and the victim were known to each other.

The road was closed and a police cordon was put up as forensics investigated the area.
Following the attack, a man was arrested in Cambridgeshire and taken back to Wymondham Police Station.
Jonathan Creak, of Westland Way, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, has been charged on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a knife.
The 50-year-old has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court this morning.
