A coffee shop in Norwich hopes "to transport people back in time" by opening a new speakeasy bar.
Grounded in Unthank Road has applied to Norwich City Council to open a 1920s-inspired basement cocktail bar beneath its Golden Triangle café.
The brainchild of owners Si Howland and Charlie Day, Undergrounded will transport guests to a bygone era in an art deco-styled space.

In fitting with its prohibition-era theming, the bar will have a secret way to enter through a special password or exclusive order at the upstairs coffee shop.
Mr Howland said: "We want to really commit to the speakeasy-style, pulling people out of reality into a slower pace of life.
"We're really hoping to create some theatre and offer something completely different."
A renovation is currently under way with works on the outside private courtyard to be completed soon.
The pair hope to open the new bar in six to eight weeks.
