A group of fathers are teaming up with a mental health service for a non-stop football match to raise awareness of men's health.
Match of the Dads and Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies have joined forces for the 24-hour game, which kicks off at midday on June 29.
The health service has renewed its sponsorship, contributing home shirts bearing the hashtag #noparentleftbehind and promising support through socials, events and workshops.
Kelvin Colbourn, community development team leader for Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies said: “It’s well documented that men struggle to engage with services for their mental health and the message on the shirt will hopefully encourage those struggling to reach out to us for help."
Paul Godfrey, founder of Match of the Dads, said: “I’m delighted to continue our partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Talking Therapies."
NSFT chief nurse Anthony Deery said: "They are a great way of raising awareness of men’s mental health."
The popular football group for dads, which now has more than 180 members, has also raised thousands for the suicide prevention charity CALM.
The #noparentleftbehind campaign encourages parents to seek the support they need.
