A recent school reunion brought nostalgic memories for former pupils and teachers of Browick Road School in Wymondham.
They reconvened after more than four decades, with organiser Sarah Diack, also a former pupil, expressing her fondness for the 'wonderful family school'.
Ms Diack hadn't visited the school since the 1980s and decided to reunite old acquaintances to share cherished memories.
"This is something that has been mentioned many times and has taken a while to organise," she said.
She said her fond memories for the school, and especially former teacher Pat Britton, had been the driving force behind the reunion.
She and Ms Britton had lost contact after the latter moved to Devon.
But when Ms Diack found her on Facebook three years ago, they created 'Browick Road First School Memories', a Facebook group that now boasts more than 600 members.
Ms Diack said: "I suggested a reunion and then contacted the new headteacher Helen Laflin, who agreed an event could be held in the school."
Unfortunately, Ms Britton could not attend but sent a video message, which said: "I loved my time at Browick. It was a happy school. The heartbeat of the town."
The event raised £405 in donations which will be used to revamp the school library.
This autumn, a tree with a memorial plaque for all the teachers and pupils who have died will be planted.
"Headteacher Helen Laflin could not have been more hospitable to us all," Ms Diack said.
She thanked her and teacher Abi Malthouse profusely for their support.
Attendees had the opportunity to visit their old classrooms and playgrounds and peruse archival registers and photographs.
One former pupil, Raymond, said: "I haven't set foot in the place since 1966.
"[It was] great to meet up with classmates and to see how the school has changed."
