An inquest has been opened into the death of a 54-year-old man whose body was discovered at his home.

Carl Beck died at his home in Losinga Road, King's Lynn, on June 2.

His body was identified by his former partner of nine years and the medical cause of death was given as “hanging”.

Assistant coroner, Christopher Leach, recently opened the inquest at Norfolk Coroner’s Court

He said: “Mr Beck was last seen alive on June 1. He had returned home after drinking all night.

“At about 11.55am the following day, he was found dead in his home.”

The court, based at County Hall, Norwich, heard that Mr Beck had been born on June 20, 1969, in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

A full inquest to determine the official cause of death will take place at the court later in the year on October 30.
