Police are continuing to interview witnesses after a woman in her 60s died in a crash near Attleborough.
Investigations into the death of Carole Jermy are continuing after a Ford Fiesta she was being driven in left the road in Besthorpe.
Ms Jermy, who was 67 and lived in Old Buckenham, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment following the crash on September 25, 2023.
However, she died the following day from the multiple traumatic injuries she suffered in the crash, which happened in Silver Street.
Speaking at a review held at Norfolk Coroner’s Court this week, assistant coroner Christopher Leach said: “The circumstances of the investigation are that the police have been investigating the incident.
“That investigation is not yet complete and interviews with witnesses remain outstanding.
“Therefore, in light of the ongoing police investigation and potential for criminal proceedings, it would not be appropriate at this time to proceed with an inquest."
The review took place at the court, based at County Hall in Norwich, on June 12.
The case has been adjourned for a further pre-inquest review in three months time.
Following the crash, floral tributes were left at the scene close to the junction with School Lane.
The driver, a man in his 80s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning but has since been released under investigation.
