A 50-year-old Norwich City fan is to go on trial accused of assaulting a Leeds supporter outside Carrow Road after the two clubs' play-off clash last month.

Graham Riches appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court where he pleaded guilty to possession of one gram of cocaine and two counts of willfully obstructing officers at the end of the goalless draw, on May 12.

However, he pleaded not guilty to one count of assault by beating.

Riches, of Dyer Close, Horsford, was released by the court on conditional bail to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on April 14, 2025.

His arrest follows an incident outside Carrow Road after the Championship play-off semi final first leg, when a man reported being punched and suffered a cut to his chin thought to be caused by a drinks’ can being thrown at him.

He was seen by paramedics at the scene and did not require further medical treatment.

Riches left the court wearing a green CP Company jacket with the hood pulled over his face.
