Investigations are ongoing into the death of a man who died after being assaulted outside a Loddon pub.
Neil McGibbon was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with life-threatening injuries after an assault near The Kings Head in Loddon in November last year.
The 58-year-old, of Chedgrave, died just days later on November 14.
Soon after his passing, bouquets of flowers and heartfelt messages were laid outside the pub in tribute to the plumber.
A pre-inquest review (PIR) was held at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on May 3, following the opening on December 1 where the medical cause of his death was given as severe head injuries.
During the brief hearing, senior coroner Jacqueline Lake adjourned the proceedings.
She said: “Investigations are ongoing and therefore I adjourned for a further PIR to September 3, 2024.”
Five men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of assault and questioned - but police have now said none of them will face further action.
