A north Norfolk campsite has been named one of the best in the UK.

The High Sand Creek campsite has been recognised as one of the nation's favourites in The Guardian.

High Sand Creek sits right on the Stiffkey Saltmarshes which provide a tranquil setting for paddleboarding and wild swimming.

The site is within walking distance from Stiffkey village which is home to the Red Lion pub, shops and a children's play park.

But more generally the article called it "a perfect base for exploring the best of north Norfolk".

Walkers can enjoy the nearby Norfolk Coastal Path and those who prefer public transport can explore the Coast Hopper bus route.

It is also close to Blakeney, Wells and Morsten which provide plenty of opportunities to spot seals.

The campsite offers pitches for £30 and tents, trailer tents and motorhomes are all welcome but caravans are not permitted.
