Plans to extend a house in a coastal village have been turned down.
West Norfolk council has refused planning permission for convert a garage into a ground-floor bedroom with a first floor extension above it in a property on Anchorage View at Brancaster, near Hunstanton.
A planning officer's report said: "The proposed first floor extension would cause adverse overbearing impact on neighbour amenity by virtue of its location being in close proximity to the adjacent property, and scale."

The plans would have doubled the number of bedrooms in the detached property from two to four. A conservatory would also have been replaced by a sunroom.
Brancaster parish Council did not object. But it added: "This was reluctant as councillors were not impressed by the design, though they could not raise specific material grounds for objection."
