Village historians in Brundall have organised two community archive sessions to record memories of the 1960s and 1970s.

They have put a call out for people who remember the decades to share their photos, memorabilia, and recollections for digital preservation by the Brundall Local History Group (BLHG) Community Archive.

Chloe Veale, the archive administrator, said: “We’d love people to help us create a picture of everyday life in the village in the 60s and 70s.

"What was it like then and how did it change during this period?

“We are especially interested in photographs of village activities and events, new housing developments, schooldays, fashions, red telephone boxes, shops, cars, buses and trains as well as documents such as house deeds, diaries, local posters, advertising, press cuttings etc.”

The nearby community can contribute their memories and items at Brundall Library, 90 The Street, on May 25, from 11am to 3pm, and on May 28, 3pm to 6pm.

These sessions, held in association with Norfolk Libraries and Information Service, are free to attend.
