Emergency work to fix a collapsed sewer is expected to delay drivers in a village near Norwich this week.

Stocks Lane in Blofield will be closed until Friday, May 3 for Anglian Water to carry out the essential utility and maintenance repairs.

A full road closure will be in force throughout the duration of the works.

Those travelling towards the Broads could experience delays as the work to fix the burst water main is taking place near the existing A47 carriageway repairs between Blofield and Acle.

Traffic will be diverted on a two-mile long diversion route both ways via Yarmouth Road, Cucumber Lane, The Street, Blofield Road and Brundall Road.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
