A free family event is returning to a Norfolk town this Bank Holiday Monday.

The North Walsham Children's Day will be held on the grounds of St. Nicholas Church and around the town centre on May 6.

The fair will host food stalls, animal encounters, steam train rides, Punch and Judy shows, dinosaur encounters and live music performances.

The event runs from 11.00am until 4.00pm and and will host a variety of free activities.

"The committee, composed of a small group of dedicated volunteers, have worked tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that the event is accessible to all, with many attractions being donations only.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support received from North Walsham Town Council, North Walsham Community Shop, North Walsham Waitrose and our Partners Minor & Brady's, whose grants have allowed us to offer many aspects of the day for free."
