Three kittens in a "vulnerable" condition were left abandoned on the royal estate in Norfolk.
The three six-week-old kittens were found under an oak tree next to a pig farm by a forester doing his rounds at Sandringham estate.
The kittens were underweight and visibly "very skinny" estimated to be down at the weight of a four-week-old.
Jack Jarvis called the RSPCA and put the kittens into a cardboard box where they'd be safe until its officers turned up.
Helena Redfern, a senior of cats at RSPCA West Norfolk, said: "When we heard about them we were shocked and wanted to get them as quickly as we could.
"They were very skinny, shy and scared."

Mr Jarvis adopted one of the kittens himself named Juniper he said: "I decided to adopt myself and named her Juniper.
"She's a traditional spotted tabby cat, who is also doing incredibly well considering the condition I found them in."
Ms Redfern is currently fostering the two other kittens now named Louis and George.
In care the two have been medically treated, taken to the vet and have been introduced to kitten food, being fed little and often.
She added: "They are doing great now with myself in foster, they have gained weight, are very playful and love a snuggle."
Mr Jarvis added: "Its great to see the others are are in good hands and doing well."

Each year the west Norfolk branch receives numerous calls about abandoned kittens and pregnant cats.
"Our centre is always here to help anyone who is experiencing difficulties with their pets.
"We encourage people to seek help from rescues before just abandoning their pets."
