A 60-year-old bookkeeper from north Norfolk died after falling down the stairs just days before Christmas, a court has heard.
Sally Newman, of Brick Kiln Road in Hevingham, near Aylsham, died at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital on December 14 last year.
An inquest into her death was opened on February 14 at the Norfolk Coroner’s Court at County Hall, Norwich.
Area coroner, Yvonne Blake, gave the pathologist’s primary medical cause of death as “diffuse alveolar damage” contributed to by a “pulmonary thrombosis embolism and a fall down the stairs.”
Her husband, Steven Spark, confirmed that his wife was born on January 25, 1963, in Brockworth, Gloucestershire.
A full inquest into her death to determine the official cause of death will take place on August 12.
