A Norfolk primary school is closed for a second day after serious flooding.
Middleton Church of England Primary School, near King's Lynn, was shut on Friday and remains closed today to clean and assess damage caused by the flooding.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for torrential downpours across the county on Saturday evening and midday on Sunday.
Rachael Greenhalgh, the executive headteacher of Gayton and Middleton Primary Academies, said: “After heavy rain on Thursday evening and flooding in the fields adjacent to the school, classrooms were flooded and there was damage to the electrical systems.
"The school closed on Friday and remains closed today as we continue to clean and assess the damage caused by the flooding.
"We are hopeful that the oldest class will be able to return to school tomorrow and we are working hard to be fully open as soon as possible.
"Home learning will continue to be set for any pupils that are not able to be in school.”
