MAD-HR has been named winner of the Customer Excellence Award, sponsored by Greater Anglia, at the Eastern Daily Press Business Awards 2023.
With offices in Norwich, Ipswich and Chelmsford, MAD-HR is a trusted HR consultancy firm that combines personal delivery, commercial acumen and 24/7 tech solutions.
It supports businesses across East Anglia with all employee, performance and team development issues and is committed to nurturing productivity, profitability and employee engagement.
Its small team of 11 provides entrepreneurs and leaders with insight born from decades of experience and expertise across recruitment, leadership management, absence and sickness, performance and strategic planning.
MAD-HR is consistently recommended by clients and was awarded the Platinum Trusted Service Award by Feefo earlier this year.
The firm also works to give back to the local business community. Its managing director Carole Burman is a board member for Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, and MAD-HR also supports voluntary sector clients in a pro bono fashion or at a preferential rate through the Norfolk Community Foundation and Norfolk Pro Help.
The judges said MAD-HR’s application “was nothing short of stunning” and added that the business’ “passion and energy shone through every interaction” during the judging process.
Commending MAD-HR’s enthusiasm for what it does, the judges concluded by saying “its dedication to its industry and fervour for service improvement were palpable, making the entire experience with MAD-HR truly impressive”.
Carole Burman, managing director of MAD-HR, said: “Of all the categories to win, Customer Excellence is the one I’m most proud of and delighted to be associated with because we work so hard to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
“We’re fastidious about gaining feedback and understanding what our customers think of us. I’ve always believed that to run a business successfully and to keep it on a constant improvement journey, you have to really hear what your clients and customers are saying, and you have to be ready to respond with agility and authenticity.”
The other finalists for the Customer Excellence Award were Jarrold Training, River Green Restaurant and Step Teachers.
