Two men have been charged in connection with a series of shop thefts in south Norfolk. 

The charges relate to five incidents which happened between June 28 and July 19 where goods were stolen from two stores in Harleston.  

Two men were arrested shortly after 11am on July 19 and taken to Wymondham police station for questioning.

One of the men was additionally arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and under the influence of alcohol.

Julian Cardoza, 34, of Station Road, Stowmarket, was charged with three counts of theft and further charged with drink driving and driving while disqualified.

Anthony Cardoza, 78, of the same address, was charged with five counts of theft from a shop.

Both men have been bailed and are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on August 29 and September 1 respectively.
