Review: ROARR! opens dinosaur attraction's Easter activities

For decades it has delighted tens of thousands of visitors in search of a roar-some time.

Now it is that time of year again when you can don an Easter bonnet and hop along to the dinosaur attraction ROARR! where an egg-cellent celebration awaits.

Up until Monday April 17, its mascot Dippy will be bringing along rainbows and rhymes adding an extra layer of enjoyment for families with children young and old.

This was especially fun for our three children – aged five, eight, and 10 – when we got to experience nursery rhymes being brought to life in the Valley of the Dinosaurs.

As we walked through a giant storybook, the little ones got excited as they were given the chance to help Little Bo Peep find her missing sheep.

We were still scratching our heads searching for Brian, aka “the naughty one”. Thankfully, we were informed he was good friends with the t-rex.

As well as being flooded with colour, the attraction also boasts a range of extra activities and exploration trails.

This includes the chance to take part in a daily rainbow Easter egg hunt. The lucky ones who find one will win a prize from something small to an annual pass.

We were also invited to add a message to the kindness rainbow and watch it grow with lots of positive comments.

It is fair to say that never before has ROARR! had quite so much on offer for a family day out, and groups could easily spend their entire day being immersed in all of the fun and creative activities on offer.

A special shout out goes to Merryweather the guinea pig who patiently allowed my youngest to build up the courage to give her a pat on the back.
