The rich collection of literary manuscripts, correspondence and author's papers available at the British Archive for Contemporary Writing (BACW) in Norwich can now be explored via a video tour.
BACW features material from distinguished writers such as Doris Lessing, JD Salinger and Lee Child.
Housed at the University of East Anglia library, its temperature-controlled strong room has 2,156 metres of shelving for secure storage of archive papers.
It is also home to the works of poets, translators, crime writers and screenwriters – and even has the original scripts for The Fast Show.
An audio archive of 300 recordings from the UEA Live literary festival includes speakers such as Stephen Fry, Philip Pullman and Terry Pratchett.
The archive supports Norwich's status as England's first Unesco City of Literature.
Students, researchers and members of the public can explore the archive via appointment.
