The boss of a Norfolk charity which offers vital support to children has welcomed the spotlight a national department store's Christmas advert has shone on fostering.
The new John Lewis Christmas advert, released this week, features a prospective foster parent struggling to learn how to ride a skateboard in a bid to connect with his new foster child.
Rachel Cowdry, chief executive of Norwich-based charity Break, has welcomed the exposure the advert is offering for the fostering process.
She said: "I felt goosebumps watching John Lewis' Christmas advert.
"It shows that all young people in care are worth going that extra mile for - grazed knees and all - and that even when their life may feel out of their control, we can do small things to help them feel at home.
"Having such a big organisation championing the young people we work with, care for and love is phenomenal."
