A major retailer has confirmed it is closing its shop in Norwich.
'Closing down' signs appeared in the windows of the Mountain Warehouse store in London Street this week, causing shoppers to speculate about its future.
A spokeswoman has since explained the branch will close and reopen as an Animal clothing shop.
She said: "We can confirm we are closing our Mountain Warehouse store and opening a new Animal store.
"This autumn, local customers will discover the brand’s latest collections, including tees and hoodies featuring the famous Animal logo."

Animal is a surf-inspired brand that collapsed during the pandemic in 2020.
In 2021, it was acquired by Mountain Warehouse and re-launched as an online-only store.
The shake-up comes a year after Mountain Warehouse opened a second, much larger store in the former Topshop in Haymarket.
