Thetford has been awarded a Silver Gilt in the Large Town Category of Anglia in Bloom 2024.
This is an improvement on last year's silver award, with judges recognising the enthusiasm and passion of volunteer groups who have contributed to the town's displays and projects.
Councillor Terry Land said: "I’m so pleased Thetford continues to achieve.
"Our recent award will only go further to support a sense of civic pride across the town."
The award ceremony was attended by members of Thetford Town Council’s Thetford In Bloom and Thetford Conservation Volunteer groups, who assist with horticultural upkeep and conservation tasks in the town.

The Thetford In Bloom volunteers regularly meet for spring planting and litter picking across the town.
A member of the group said: "It’s good to make a difference, the group is very enjoyable and fun."
In recent months, the volunteers have worked alongside the Thetford Town Council Town Team to enhance the town centre with new planters, troughs and hanging baskets.
Local businesses have also provided sponsorship, aiding in the supply and maintenance of new plants throughout the summer.
This collective effort has contributed to Thetford’s first Silver Gilt award.
The team is now aiming for a Gold Anglia in Bloom award in 2025.
The Thetford Conservation and Thetford in Bloom Volunteer groups will continue their weekly activities, encouraging residents and businesses to join in.
