A BAFTA-winning actress was appointed president of a Norfolk theatre earlier this year and it is much more than just an honorary position for her.
Suranne Jones, whose credits include Coronation Street, Doctor Foster and Vigil, has got well and truly stuck in at Sheringham Little Theatre.
Since becoming president in February 2024 she has taken part in youth workshops, watched shows and been interviewed on stage by local playwright James McDermott.
Speaking about taking on the role, she said: "I wanted to be hands-on, I wanted to promote.

"I've just been helping with the youth group and I wanted to make sure I had time to do it properly."
She also said that the quality of the theatre's work is "sky high".

A big part of her role is using her profile, with more than half a million Instagram followers, to give the venue a boost.
She added: "I'd love us to find a way to promote small theatres and small stories more. That's my big challenge."
