There were lots of laughs in the comedy tent on the first day of Latitude Festival as two top comedians entertained thousands.

Seann Walsh and Sara Pascoe performed sets at Latitude at Henham Park on Friday - with the comedy arena packed to the rafters for both highly-regarded comedians.

Walsh, who has been a popular comedian for a number of years, appearing in TV shows including I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Strictly Come Dancing and Mock the Week, came on the stage in the early afternoon as he told relatable stories about alcohol, growing older and the "inexplainable pain that happens out of nowhere" and what it is like to go to McDonald's.

This clearly connected with people in the crowd, who, in response to the jokes, laughed and clapped along.

He was so popular that there was an encore for him to stay on from the crowd.

The Friday night headliner in the TK Maxx Comedy Tent was Pascoe, who has appeared in Taskmaster, Would I Lie to You and QI.

Her set began at 5.20pm, with it being the last performance in the comedy tent for the day before the music headliners, The Vaccines and Kasabian, took to the Obelisk Arena.

Crowds packed into the arena to listen to the 43-year-old recall some of her life stories.

Her jokes were based around being a mother to two children, vegan food and conspiracy theories surrounding Prince Harry.

The thousands in the tent enjoyed her set with lots of laughs and applause. She received a great ovation at the end when she left the stage.

Other comedy acts to feature over the weekend include Judi Love, Joanne McNally, Lucy Beaumont and Sam Campbell.
