A cat who was attacked while sleeping soundly in a flowerpot has been discharged after a successful eye removal operation.
The stray, which neighbours have fondly named Hobocat, has plenty of friends in Reepham and has been fed by a doting team of locals for around a year.
On Sunday evening, one of these guardians, Kath Harrold, heard the "dreadful noise" of Hobocat being "attacked by an out-of-town tomcat" while sleeping in his flowerpot bed outside her flat.

She took him to the vet and was told he needed to have one of his eyes removed.
Ms Harrold agreed to take him in permanently and launched a Gofundme to help raise £1,449 for the surgery, initially scheduled for Friday morning but pulled forward by a day due to the cat's rapid decline.
"He is home to mine now and a bit wobbly," Ms Harrold said.
"All the staff in the vets loved him - he even nuzzled the nurse's hand when he came around.
"He is looking forward to receiving visitors from next week and says the orange pack of Dreamies is preferable."
